"Care isn't just medical services provided by doctors and nurses. Its the pregnant woman taking care of herself, and not having unhealthy habits."

when i said prenatal care i didn't mean to bring in doctors or nurses much at all. certainly checkups to see how things are going, etc. but, yes, that is mostly does the mother have adequate nutrition, etc. now at times a woman will have the means but not do it, but it brings in the situation of those not with the means, also. and the education to know what is needed by those who really don't know. and i would think the nutrition element and quick deaths from low-birth weight are lower here than in a great many places, tho still higher than i would like to see it. i could extrapolate that anyone who wears 'the box' of 'right-to-life' should do all they can to see that every woman has adequate nutrition during pregancy because otherwise the child is possibly being denyed the right to life. but that might be evil of me. and someone could futher extrapolate that all pregnant women should be monitered for what they eat. as some already would like to do re if they smoke or take a drink. sorry... i wandered way off there. anyways, agreed is not a med doctor issue in terms of that, is one of proper nutrition and physical care for the mother during pregnancy.
