The enemy remains Al Qaeda and any state that harbors them.

Probably every state "harbors them" in one way or another, includingthe US.

You advocate going after them over wasting time and money on that little side trip in Iraq, and I agree. Let's refocus and go after the real bad guys. Let's show Al Qaeda that we aren't going to run nor are we going to be distracted by visions of a Middle East remade in our image.

You are right in that they wanted a war, and they got it. Let's make them (as in the AQ leadership) regret asking for it in the first place.

I couldn't agree more. where were you in '03?

We aren't fighting them. They're safe in Pakistan and 105 other countries, including ours. The military just isn't the proper hammer for that nail.

We need to be careful about overly-narrowing the scope of the "enemy". AQ is the enemy; but they're not the sole enemy.

Hezbollah, a terrorist organization, is the enemy. Iran and Syria, who fund Hezbollah, are enemies. AQ is the enemy, and the insurgency in Iraq is the enemy.

And unfortunately, there is a significant enemy contingent in other countries such as Kuwait and SA.

The common thread is radical Islam. Not oil. Not the actions of the US and the West (i.e., the chickens are NOT coming home to roost as Obama's good friend indicated).
