I'm probably in a particularly bad mood today, but on the way home from Jon's soccer practice there was a sound bite of John McCain on the gas tax moratorium. He's for lifting the tax for the summer so that people might buy school supplies or maybe have a night out. I'm not making that up. It was his voice. What kind of shit is that. This is the level of thinking applied to the issues of the day? We'll just pander our way to a better future? I know John thinks we will all vote for him because the alternative is worse, but if there is no least bad candidate I'll stay home on election day and do something useful, like the laundry.
