No doubt there will be a severe beating after this run. But as always the question is when. When to sell and when to buy. I always seem to do both early.

Of course it seems every news flash is something else hyper bullish with energy S/D fundamentals.

I for one dont believe the general markets have properly discounted how little discretionary funds consumers are going to have after they pay for their electric bills this Summer, their gasoline bills and thier food.

I bet we get a cool Summer as well.

Maybe some permabear commentators have recently run up the white flag, but the folks who really don't get it, the small specs, have just gunned their net short position in Nymex crude to the highest levels since May 2007. It's not an absolute prerequisite, but you'd normally expect the wrong way willies to be quite long if we were at a meaningful top. The worst traders are definitely not "in" on this market yet.

People who don't understand galloping inflation cannot grasp what is going on with oil prices. That's why you see many egg splattered faces around.

Oil price is future inflation indicator.
