That was a very useful posting, a real keeper, Doug. Looking at the listings, though, I cannot figure out what kind of utility to use for this situation, which I assume most other people have periodically experienced, too:

Let's say one's computer is on for an extended period of time (like a few days). While online, a number of browser windows are open for different sites with new windows opened from time to time. Even when windows get closed, over time one has to close more and more to get anything done--like perform a short copy/paste from something read into a posting. Things get to the point where one has to reboot.

Deleting Files and Clear History under Tools/Internet Options does not make a difference. Rebooting is the only solution. I assume, however, that there must be some utility to 'clean up' things so rebooting is unnecessary.

There must be a technical term or phrase for what I describe. I just do not know what it is.
