Fannie Mae is pleased to announce as of trading Monday morning their new trading symbol will be KOD rather than the traditional FNM. A spokesman said, "Fannie has had too much unwarranted negative publicity in recent months and felt a new symbol would help assure the public that all was well with the largest repository of unsound loans in the world. When asked why KOD was chosen, the spokesman had no comment."
