I was lucky. When I placed my original trade, I assumed that I was going to get the Friday close, not the Monday close. When the Microsoft-Yahoo deal cratered over that weekend, I was resigned to opening in last place. I was saved by the rules. I do not think that Microsoft is going to revisit the Yahoo deal for at least six months. If Yahoo announces an expanded ad deal with Google, I will probably sell on the day that the news is announced.
