Perhaps I am naive. That is entirely a possibility. And when in England last summer someone asked me (some rich lady who 'picked' me up while I was shooting pool in a pub. go figure. anyways...)... so she asks me re Obama. How I would feel about a black being president. I blinked for two reasons. 1 - uh, duh, what I care if I like his policies and why ask? 2 - His running serious hadn't occured to me. Then she asked re Hillary. I said as much as I would love to see a woman truly make a run at President that I felt Hillary was too devisive, not right for the country at a time when we need mending. And I don't all that much care for certain policies. I would vote for her over McCain in a heartbeat, however.

But to the naive part... all of this nasty race stuff would have come up in October and run into November. Rev Wright would have been sprung at the most precise moment to wreck november. The ploy to suggest to the working folk (and i do so get disgusted by how they are discussed by the pundits and many 'liberals' on SI - not you or any one on this thread) that they would not vote for that fancy black man. Is all being gotten out of the way early. Courtesy of Bill & Hillary. I think they know exactly what they are doing, as much as, yes, she would have loved to be Pres. but on the other hand, she is not that young now. And she is forging a way in the senate. With a base to work with, she could build quite a legacy for herself, and let Obama do the pres work. I don't discount her. I never will. And when lil fancy white boys trash the working class whites as people who wouldn't vote for obama (cause they are so so much better than that trailer trash) or trash Hillary supporters as hairy lesbians (yes, i read that on SI on a 'liberal' thread), I will continue to be annoyed. I understand your feelings. But don't discount that Hillary might know exactly what she is doing. Even sans her Iraq vote and Obama... she never really stood a chance. She is too devisive. We don't need that right now. But she can connect with a lot of people. Let her do it and add to the party. or something like that. this was such a ramble. i going to post it without reading it again. and then hide.
