AA, great analysis as always. I think that is the big question here. Are we headed down into a larger C wave here, or. Let's see what happens going forward. I think interest rates are headed in the same direction which would ultimately get us to 3.0% by the end of the year.

MER served as an excellent "launch" indicator in the significant lows of late 1982 and late 1990:





It will be important for the bulls to keep an eye on early warning indicators like those. And, boy, is that MER flat important. If it gives up the apparent flat from 2000-2008, it would be huge. I'm putting that one in my long-term alerts right now.

I also suspect we haven't seen the kind of bullish breadth unanimity associated with all prior significant long-term bottoms. What is your feel on that score?
