because they compare this regime to the taliban doesnt make it so. Blame saddam for the gulf war and sanctions, not the UN and the US. He deliberately allowed this. And i doubt the numbers. ONe million women dead and 500k babies. Why should we believe that when the left trashed untrue US claims during the gulf war about iraqis and the nurseries. Iraq had taken a giant step back re: womens rights for sure and that is regrettable and mostly blamable on saddam hussein. But its not taliban by a long shot
