A 52 yr old friend of mine has the same light bulb she decorate with stickers to impress her then boyfriend with (and now husband) when she was 15 yrs old, and it still works. The filament is huge.

I've seen that firehouse in the news before because of their old light bulb. I've used florescent bulbs for a long time, just because modern incandescent bulbs burn out so quickly.
