Why does his age have much to do with his election? JFK was a young president, and look what happened. FDR was old, and ill, and died in his 3rd term....

Don't misunderstand....McCain was never my choice....but he will be if either Hillary or Obama is opposite him on the ticket...

Ron Paul is totally beyond my frame of reference, and ditto Bob Barr now...if he wanted to run, he should have done it much earlier.

Edit: Churchill was born in 1874, and was elected to a 4 year term as PM in 1951, after all he did during WWII....in 1951, he was 77 years old! And he didn't die until he was 90....

If McCain is the Repub candidate, the VP candidate has to be younger, and VERY capable, and have no serious baggage.
