Hooray for the ACLU....

A daily pledge is silly..... Why is a students pledge only good for one day except on Fridays when it's good for 3 days.... And who says we are one nation under god.....why do you have to include that in your pledge if you don't believe it?

Pledges of allegiance to a government or politicians is very naive and outdated. If you are a soldier or FBI or public servant, fine maybe, but if you are a normal citizen you should have the constitutional right to not pledge allegiance to anything. And with the current corrupt Bush-Cheney government, anyone who pledges allegiance to them is a moron or radical rightwing fascist.

Patriotism is not blind allegiance, it is working together to make sure our government runs well, acts honestly and solves the big problems. And if politicians in charge turn out to be liars and crooks like the Bushies have, our patriotic duty is to protest them and throw them out. The Founding Fathers wanted it that way.
