But, the big difference is David Axelrod has executed a better campaign on a strategic level. He took full advantage of the democratic party screw up of the nominating process. In a nutshell, that is the difference.

I agree with this, Mary. When it gets down the bare bottoms of all this, I think this is one of the principle reasons. But I also think Obama turned out to be a better candidate than anyone could have expected.
