Perhaps it is what he meant, though.

At any rate, I wouldn't be in the business of bashing someone for getting addicted to drugs -- whether it is Limbaugh or someone else.

Anyone who has watched a close friend or family member sucked under by drug addiction understands it isn't bad behavior. It is a severe illness that anyone can confront at some point in their lives. Decent people can be destroyed by it.

That Al would take such pleasure in Limbaugh's addiction, rather than congratulate him for getting over it, says more about Al and liberalism than it does about Limbaugh.
Either he is ignorant of the subject or just bitter and mean-spirited. Neither is a good place to be.
