And, of course, the big irony is that there is a lot of Riesling that is dead dry, but still is perceived as sweet because of the fruitiness. Not to mention, of course, the number of big reds in the Turley style which have a little bit of residual sugar because they were harvested at such high brix, but which is never disclosed on the bottle.
