These people feel oppressed by their gov't and are peacefully protesting the best way they know how.

The founding fathers had no right of petition, assembly or voting to change the laws that governed them. Thanks to their sacrifices, now we do.

We are a nation of laws, not just individuals who make capricious decisions and dump them on anyone nearby. Otherwise there is no point to the Constitution.

The irony about people who want religion in schools and other public places is that they are 100% free to practice their own religion everywhere and at any other time they like. Intruding on a government-run space seems aimed at undermining the fundamental separation doctrine, which I do not find healthy at all.

I'll end my contributions on this here. Just beware the next local clique that does something you really don't approve of, and you find that trying to exert your constitutional rights has become futile.
