Re- 'What do the rest of you think?'

If Clinton was the first black president- then Bush was the first Arab Oil Sheik to become president.

The 'W' in George 'W' Bush- really stands for 'Wahhabi'.

Thats what I think <vbg>.

I'll be curious too- to see if oil and gasoline prices just 'COINCIDENTALLY' peak right at the Memorial Day or 4th of July peak driving season weekends. Kind of like 'max pain' for options expiration.

And if Bush fights congress on the SPR issue- does this just give more ammunition for the Democrats to hold over Republicans? I'd have to think there will be a lot of Republican Congressmen sweating over this one.

<What do the rest of you think?>

First, the Saudis don't receive military aid from the US. They buy their toys by recycling petrodollars, and the US arms manufacturers need the Saudis as much as the Saudis need them.

Second, the Saudis don't really want us around anymore - too much of a target for nationalists in SA.

So what advantage is it to pump more now ? A barrel in the sand is worth more than a dollar in the hand. One goes up and one goes down, day after day after day.
