I believe McCain is the party's nominee because he was promised it in exchange for his gracious withdrawal in 2000. I am guessing there was intense negotiating going on in that month where he was being coy about accepting Kerry's VP spot.

Cindy McCain. If the eyes are the window to the soul...this lady has obvious problems.I have a friend that calls her the "cougar"...spot on. ;-)
