If you think you can change the world, you are bound to a life of miserable frustration and disappointment. The condition of corporeal humanness has it’s own body of nature that in general is unchangeable. All action directed toward this goal is futile. The world will not change. There will be corruption, brutality, and destructive influences, and those who oppose these influences as long as humanity experiences a timely existence.

Absent morality or at least a life founded upon principle, no action is logically preferable to any other. In lieu of that one may certainly map out a life time of endeavor. Generally these people lean toward some sort of self love which includes the denial of any higher good than to satiate one craving or another.

A life based on morality or at least a life founded upon principle suggests activity along a different path, one paved with respect, willingness to care for the well being of others, and humility with regard to higher goodness.
