Follow the money. Not because of their charges against the minutemen. They are battling the minutemen because the minutemen represent a threat to their various illegal activities. However, their backing is from Latino mafia, cartel, and gang leaders who are heavily involved in various criminal ventures including racially motivated terrorism and killing against blacks. They generally have a strong anti-gringo perspective which stems from historical economic oppression but is also focused on color and political power in modern times.

Acting on orders from the Mexican Mafia, Latino gang members in Southern California are terrorizing and killing blacks.
