"long-awaited", my Great-Aunt Fanny. Edwards could not deliver his own state to Kerry, and didn't even carry the district where he lives. He, like Obama, spent his Senate career running for President, and he didn't do squat for the people back home, so they weren't going to re-elect him to the Senate, either. What a spin.
