To liberals, the truth is relative.

ted said Ayers isn't no worse than Delay, who we don't think is that bad, therefore equating Ayers with Delay makes Ayers not that bad either.

When you go around using "relativism" in reviewing your morality against mainstream Americans, you can substantiate just about any point of view you choose to hold.

Kinda like what they say meth does to a person. They say a meth user can actually rationalize selling their child for more meth, sitting down and calmly explaining it to you step by step.

don't know whether to take this remark seriously. I would have thought that even ted wouldn't go so far as to refer to an avowed terrorist as a "respectable member of the community". OTOH, it really isn't that out of line with his typical thought process.

You frigging digbat....I say that because he IS a respectable member of the Chicago community. What is wrong with you? Are you seriously disturbed?

Apparently the guy tried to blow something up over 40 years ago.....although he was never convicted. He now has been straight for 40 years and is a professor in Chicago. Most professors are considered respectable members of their community. Just because you have an axe to grind doesn't make that any less true.
