Thanks, Lexi, and it really did taste great. Now there will be those who turn up their noses at the use of grits and Kool-Aid. But for me, taste wins out in any contest over the use of ingredients such as those.

Remember - the use of grits is like oatmeal or any other cereal in a recipe - and it also is like corn syrup in some regards.

Also, just think of Kool-Aid as another source of flavor. The Rose-hips, which BTW are one of the main ingredients in Red Zinger tea, give the flavor a little more "sophistication" so it doesn't taste like Kool-Aid pudding or something.
