>>> There's ONE fact out. The guy's INTELLIGENT.

Well, hell, most of us here are "intelligent" by any reasonable definition; I can name several on this thread -- even some I disagree with, who would clearly be in the top 5% in the country in intelligence. I doubt that in my lifetime we've had a president who wasn't "intelligent", i.e., in the top 5%.

But being intelligent is different from having judgment and the ability to run a country. LBJ was intelligent. But look at the absolute train wreck he created (not only while in office, but even today, 40 years after his death). Richard Nixon was beyond genius, was a great president, but had a fatal flaw that brought him down. Certainly Bill Clinton was extremely intelligent, but lacked the self control to avoid bimbo eruptions which destroyed him. Bush 43 is extremely intelligent but is inarticulate.

Obama, like most of us, is smart enough. The problem is he lacks the experience, judgment, and quite possibly, the loyalty to America, which is essential for the job.

It will be a horrific outcome, indeed, if America elects an Obama -- a rank amateur, who may have other loyalties -- simply because the liberals put politics before sensibility. I don't think that will happen, but it is a distinct possibility.
