I'm GLAD that the last 3 candidates don't wear their religion on their sleeves.

When it comes down to it, I think Bush Jr. is probably LESS religious than most people in this Country, but he was elected by "playing to the religious crowd" on "cultural values" so they'd elect him and then he could do whatever he wanted to as long as he remembered to nominate judges that got the approval of the religious right.

Bush doesn't even GO to Church most of the time, so they can't use ANY religious figure to denigrate HIM.

Reagan was the FIRST guy in this cycle to use "the religion, race card". He didn't go to church either, but he pandered to the religious folks on "cultural issues" and the racist folks on the "uppidy blacks" in the South.

I've always HATED to see NATIONAL elections decided by issues that don't even affect the average American rather than issues we ALL have to deal with every day.

NOW, with prices jumping up, the economy stagnating, health insurance becoming more and more burdensome and our Country spending TRILLIONS on ill thought out Wars...I "think" the Country is starting to think the same way I do.

If you don't think so, then maybe you should look at the last three "special" elections in which Democrats have won seats in VERY Republican districts.
