I have a good friend who had Lasik about 2 months ago. She isn't recovering at all as well as I did. She will have to wear readers for her computer use. Doc said she may eventually get away from it, not sure. She can drive and see TV fine, but reading and the computer are both a problem.

I did mine in February 2007, so it's about a year and a half. I bounced back well enough to drive myself to the grocery store that same afternoon. I love it. Of course, I wore glasses then contacts for well over 50 years. My eyes just wouldn't tolerate those contacts anymore, so it was spectacles or Lasik. I don't even need drops very often anymore.
