I'd say appeasement is more immediate issue. It sure was stupid of Obama and his people to treat a general statement about appeasement as an attack on Obama. It confirmed that Obama is pro-appeasement. Otherwise Obama could have said, I'm against appeasement too.

MEMO TO THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN: When somebody condemns appeasement, it doesn't help things to jump up and yell "Hey, he's talking about me!"
