McBush was for negotiating with Hamas before he decided against negotiating with Hamas.

RUBIN: "Do you think that American diplomats should be operating the way they have in the past, working with the Palestinian government if Hamas is now in charge?"

McCAIN: "They're the government; sooner or later we are going to have to deal with them, one way or another, and I understand why this administration and previous administrations had such antipathy towards Hamas because of their dedication to violence and the things that they not only espouse but practice, so . . . but it's a new reality in the Middle East.

Your Dumbyasshole's Press Secretary is, well... dumb as a rock (surprise?!)

Appearing on NPR's "Wait, Wait ... Don't Tell Me" over this past weekend, Perino said she "panicked" when she got the Cuban missile crisis question because she wasn't exactly sure what the Cuban missile crisis was. "I really know nothing about the Cuban missile crisis," Perino said. "It had to do with Cuba and missiles, I'm pretty sure."

Perino said she went home that night and asked her husband, "'Wasn't that, like, the Bay of Pigs thing?' And he said, 'Oh, Dana.'" Of course, Dana was born in 1972, 10 years after the Cuban Missile Crisis. And her husband, who is 18 years older than she is, was at least alive at the time. But you would think that someone who gets to be White House Press Secretary would have some knowledge of the recent history of Presidents and crises.

McInsane - May 2008 : "The increase in actionable intelligence that the counterinsurgency produced led to the capture or death of Osama bin Laden, and his chief lieutenants."

You know, bin Laden is such a lousy guy. If only he had released his audiotape a day earlier, he could have saved his friend's successor, John McCain, some embarrassment!

Yesterday, on MSNBC, a wingnut radio talk show host got screwed when he demonstrated that he had no idea of history and was merely repeating regressive talking points...

The topic was about what "appeasement" means. It actually means "granting concessions to satisfy the demands of someone with a greed for power, territory, etc." Negotiating or talking is NOT appeasement. If that was so, did Reagan appease the Soviet Union because he talked to them and negotiated with them???? Is the Dumbyasshole appeasing North Korea by talking to them????

"Appeasement" implies giving something. By that definition, Dumbyasshole has appeased the Shia theocrats in Iraq by giving them protection (so, US soldiers are dying to protect the Shia theocracy in Iraq - neat, eh?!). And your Dumbyasshole has also appeased Iran by giving them what they want - a Shia theocracy dominated by their SCIRI friends, who had made Iran as their home during the years they were exiled by Saddam.
