Getting on committees is easy if the party wants you there -- in this case, Obama was deemed to be "up and coming" during the last election, and so waltzing into these committees was nothing short of a gift bestowed by the party.

Hillary served on FIVE committees during her first term.

If you remove "sponsored" legislation from the list (which simply means he signed onto a bill, not that he drafted it), not much is left.

And certainly nothing of significance or importance.

The guy is totally overrated.

First sitting on a committee is no achievement. Second, what exactly did Obama write vs sign on to?

I'm not saying he has done nothing, just nothing impressive or out of the ordinary - except running for President. His one achievement. And I think that has been with the aid of a press corps that is clearly on his side. As pressure has been mounting, there have been more and more errors in speaking errors in judgment, some long ignored, have come to notice.
