Increasing the population's BMI towards obesity means more health problems, and thus more expensive treatments, which means that the average price of purchased drugs increase.

In other words, according to the logic that your post describes, obesity causes inflation.

There are many examples of this, and my point in another post was, that inflation measurement is becoming increasingly difficult, because the amount of carrots and oil in CPI calculation is reduced.
