My beef with Obama is what will happen to the Supreme Court and the Bill of Rights if he gets elected. It won't be pretty.

Neither will our national defense capability. He'll be reduced to negotiating with Iran and the like because he'll have no effective military.

By the way, Obama has a guilty conscience. He immediately formed association between himself and negotiating with terrorists when he heard Bush's remark in Israel that pertained to something that happened before WWII. Bush did not name any names, but Obama seems to get the connection.

I see that he has challenged Bush and McCain to a debate on national security in a shrewd attempt to link the two. Bush has no reason to get involved with something like this. McCain doesn't either.

If you hate Obama it will be an issue; if you don't, it won't be.

This nation has been hoodwinked into mediocre politics for the past almost 8 years. I did not expect anything from a utterly mediocre President who instead of cherishing the joyous moment tof Israeli birth anniversary would choose instead to air domestic policy differences. This mediocrity emanating from the WH has landed this nation into a dire state. The first step in changing the politics of this nation was taken in 2006 when the party in power in the Congress was booted out lock stock and barrel. Dark clouds are looming on the horizon as evidenced by the loss of Congressional seats by Bush's party in by-elections in IL, LA and now MS. And there are still people who believe that the American voter will continue to be fooled by the politics of fear, guilt by association and what have you.

The 2008 elections will not only witness a downright rejection of right wing talking points but it will also take a toll on right wing as well as left wing blogs.

>>"The executive director of an Illinois ethics watchdog group calls it politics as usual. "Did he get contributions from those companies down the line? Yeah. That story's been told a million times in American politics, and it will be told a million times more," said Jay Stewart of the Illinois-based Better Government Association. "I don't think Obama's any different."<<

I'd be more concerned if Obama had received contributions from those companies before he did something to help them. That would present the appearance of a quid pro quo arrangement, or of influence peddling.
