Rightwing extremism always = fascism. The hings to look for are as follows, and every single one Bushies are guilty of. - Extreme military nationalism and false patriotism - Stealing elections or otherwise illegally grabbing power - Asserting absolute power once in office, no checks and balances - No habeus corpus, spying on their own people, punishing opponents and critics, ruining their lives. - Scapegoating of different ethnic groups - Abuse of religion or other idoltry to justify war, totalitrianism - Using a false foreign threat to scare the nation into war - A cabal of party leaders around a corrupt leader - Attacks on constitutional democracy - Attacks against the press (Dan Rather, NY Times, etc.) - Serving major corporate cronies in war/oil biz especially - Replacing news with rightwing propaganda (Fox, Hannity, Limbaugh)
