No, extreme leftwingers are not fascists, they are communists. But when each wing goes far enough toe the extreme, that is taking away peoples voting rights, habeus corpus, free press and free speech, they become similar. There was nothiong leftwing about the Soviet Union, though their revolution may have started that way. In the end they became a military dictatorship and police state, just the opposite of liberal values, and very much like far rightwing fascist regimes.
