Different topics. Yes, they are. You just keep changing the topic of conversation, Karen. I'm not changing anything, at least not intentionally. I'm following up on a different, yet entangled, line of thought. That attack-words degrade discourse seems pretty obvious. I am fond of discourse and hate to see it abused. I spoke to that already and I don't really have anything more to offer. If you see more fodder in there, go for it. When, in the course of discussing that or any other topic, posters entangle one of my hobby horses, in this case the banishment of words, I will respond to that topic because, after all, that's what you do with hobby horses. You, of course, can agree, disagree, or ignore my topic. I don't see how my pursuing my topic hindered your pursuit of your topic. If it did, it was by accident.
