Same thing happened in Canada. Until about 1993, the debt buildup was out of control. Then the bond market forced the government to clean up its act.

Now things seem pretty good.

Imports FROM the US will be a bargain. But exports from EU & Denmark TO the US may be too pricey.

It is hard to peg US inflation rate to compare to EU since government excludes food & energy from the figures - the two items going up the fastest. If I had to guess, I'd say minimum 12% at this point here. Just a guestimate though.

But nobody really knows what all the fallout might be globally. That's why I'm here too.
