I don't think the insurance providers would be motivated to do that, at least not the fee for service ones. I think that Kaiser is already pretty automated. It would take an HMO. In a fee for service arena, it's the clients who would be the most motivated. Doctors may be if the are squeezed further. What I would expect to happen would be for some tech providers to see the market and offer products. There are already providers of software to doctors. Probably someone already working on this, maybe even using it. And then there are the Google and whoever initiatives.
