Sam: Here is a tidbit for us all to ponder. Most Americans are fearful of a medical catastrophe that would wipe out their savings.. Another worry. When changing a job ones medical insurance cannot be taken with you. Exception.. Here is a man with 4 heart attacks. He is 67 years old. He has had a quadruple by pass and has an implantable fibrillate in his chest. He has been back to the hospital five or six times for irregular heart beats. He is going to be out of a job in a few months. Is he insurable when he leaves his current position? Yes. He is Dick Cheney. DOUBLE STANDARD. Two million government employees are on Federal medical insurance paid for by tax payers fact we pay seventy per cent of their health coverage. There is no denial of coverage for them for pre conditions. They will not lose their insurance. Put this up against forty seven MILLION uninsured Americans Another interesting tid bit for all who think that a universal medical plan is Socialistic and only a Democrat wold suggest it. Richard Nixon was quoted as saying. I Shall propose a comprehensive health plan which shall include all AMERICANS. It will vastly improve protection against catastrophic illnesses. Then had was forced to leave office over Water Gate. This is a Republican speaking. One good thing about Nixon...other than he and Reagan TALKED TO OUR ENEMIES AND GOOD CAME FROM IT.
