David, I won't try to defend the way the war has been conducted, and I'm sure a lot of my criticism would be polar opposite to what most would envision. But at this point, I am absolutely certain it (the war) was the right thing to have done. I haven't always been. It is time for the American people to start to understand that Islam is the enemy and we need to be fighting it at every turn if we value our own freedom. The radical Islam is the enemy of freedom, but we need to be smart at how we confront it - pick our fights. IMO, Cold War is probably an appropriate model. It was a prolonged tension, with some (few) skirmishes. The road to victory did not mean sending tanks to Moscow. IMO, confrontation with Islam will take longer, probably forever... Joe
