If one studies a chart of the McClellan Osc. one can see that it hit the 70-75 area before the last 3 major rallies rolled over.

The top for this rally so far has been about 50.

So if the past pattern holds we should see a run back to the 70-75 range before this rally is kaput.

Re: Europe pump prices exploding upward...1.43 Euro to a liter, 3.78 liters in a gallon, Euro at 1.54 to the dollar - you do the math!

Ummm. That's $8.32 per gallon of diesel.

Costco sells canola oil for $7.95 per gallon.

It works fine as fuel but you need a conversion kit (vegetable oil is thick when cold - the kits basically put a heater hose through the gas tank to warm up the fuel, has you run the fuel lines through hoses to insulate it on the way from the tank, and have a little tank for regular diesel with an automatic switchover valve for warmup and shutdown (to leave diesel in the injectors and line for the next start cycle).

Restaurants in the US have to pay to have their old fry oil hauled away and will often give it away for free - it's perfect for diesel car engines, if a conversion kit has been installed.
