The important point which scares you is this...

The stupid comparison game is to fool voters but does not address issues or skills. Silly that you want to hang your hat on that stupid position this morning.

Even with the difficulties facing Republicans, McCain might prevail because he has the support of independent voters who abandoned the other Republican presidential candidates, Davis said.

``He is positioned to do that because the things that are carrying him forward right now are the things that a lot of Republicans have not liked him for over the years,'' Davis said. ``But that independence puts him in good stead in this environment.''

Back in 2006 when a new Democratic Congress took control:

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.

Since the Dems took control of Congress in 2006 we have seen:

1) Consumer confidence plummet;
2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3.50 a gallon;
3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);
4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);
5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars;
6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.

Be careful of shouts for change--America voted for change in 2006, and we got the wrong kind!
Remember, it's Congress that makes laws not the President. He has to work with what's handed to him.

The libs have so much hate for Bush that they dismiss all positive or supporting information as Fox News spin. Any reasonable person knows that the stagnant democrat congress is the true reason for the "recession". The dems will suck every last penny out of a taxpayer and wonder why the economy does not grow. They will punish profitable companies by increasing taxes and then chastise them for hiring overseas because they cannot afford to pay American workers. I guess it is all worth it when you are re-elected by those uninformed voters that depend on your self-serving handouts.
