I'm kind of hoping we can repair that damage. At least even McCain isn't as hot on torture as this admin- to his credit. I think we can repair the damage. I also think the historians will have their work cut out for them in trying to explain the past eight years. We have a great majority howling in protest at the damage done by these radicals-in-GOP-clothing, and rightfully so. But the strange part comes from the GWB supporters. They can point at practically nothing the man has done right, yet they continue to march in lockstep with him because he is on "their side." I can understand the uberwealthy supporting him, but cannot for the life of me figure why the common man would continue to cheer for him.
