I understand that there is a group of radical terrorists who are undermining peace in various parts of world. I also understand that some of those groups have targeted the US because of its involvement in the ME. Beyond that, I think you are off target.

Your first mistake is in assuming that our "involvement" in the ME has anything to do with it. It doesn't. The US is targeted because we are not, for the most part, Muslim. In fact, the growth in the number of Muslims in this country is, to a great extent, part of the strategy for defeating us.

Most Muslims are not terrorists.

This is true, but not relevant. Almost all terrorists are Muslims, which is what matters. And which is the reason we must stop giving them the benefit of the doubt.

What you suggest is costly and discriminatory......for little gain.

A hell of a lot less costly and discriminatory than having my wife, who is obviously no threat, put through the ringer every time we get on a plane.

What you guys don't get is that Muslims are using our own freedoms against us. 7 years ago, Netanyahu was on TV after 9/11, and clearly explained that what America had to do was to learn that our freedom is what leaves the door wide open to this kind of attack. Bush has done a fantastic job of improving the situation; however, he has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about the threat from within -- which is the greatest threat of all.

And yes, to those who don't comprehend it, it looks a lot like paranoia. But it is not a paranoid hallucination. Unfortunately.

After all, Muslims do not have a lock on extremism.

They don't, but they are the people who want to kill Americans.
