There's more than one way of solving problems. It depends on what side effects you consider acceptable.

Precisely! Consider the problem of solving the problem of getting an education. Seeker of Truth tells us that formal schooling is only one of them. Ask S.o.T please what he did his whole life as a professional.

Of course I accepted the side effects of having to prove on the market my worth instead of showing I have seat on my butt for four years listening to a teacher talking to me and telling me which books I should read.

I didn’t' travel to countries to see suffering, death hunger and pain. I saw the small coffins light blue for boys and pink for baby girls passing in front of our gate 1960.

"Define 'culture'.

Culture is what you get after you forgot everything they taught at school.

I have been surrounded by engineers since 1975. I am an engineer not by training but by profession. What gave me the positive re-inforcement to proceed on this profession was to see how shallow the education of an engineer was.

I said to myself, I will eat all of them for breakfast. I am going to take the salary of one of those guys and they will be working under my orders.

I did it.

25 years later I revisited the engineering profession beginnings once again. My friend pole climber put his kid through university and he became an engineer. He was a brilliant guy and my chess player mate.
he decided to go to engineering because he saw me successful because his father was not. (His father failed outside Brazil).

I met him again when he had graduated. guy got arrogant. stopped listening. It was his down fall. Made girl friend pregnant need to get a job. got the job worked for several years aboard, and must be somewhere in Brazil.

married girlfriend paid for her to finish law school and she run away with his daughter with a lawyer as soon as she got a position as a civil servant.

The woman knew he was not clever and exploited as I know of many engineers who are conned by women. But he said he was the best in electromagnetism in school...
Perhaps he concentrated too much in the subject and forgot to learn the instincts of the women...
