Remember that Hawaii was already a state when Obama was born. Hawaii was not a separate nation but part of America.

I love Hawaii but it is not the kind of international experience of the type that Obama needs to be President.

What he can claim is that living in Hawaii, hopefully gave him an appreciation for people of many cultural backgrounds.

In my Virginia hometown, my neighbors when I was about 10 years old about the same age as Obama in Indonesia were Greek from Brookyln. The old folks spoke Greek and a spattering of English. The children were fluent in Greek and English. They moved out of Brookyln so they could have a little land raise a few goats, chickens and rabbits and have a restaurant of their own. I learned a few Greek words and made some life long friends, learn to love Greek pastries-------was that international experience?

When I think of International experience I think of the people who have served in capacities internationally that qualify them as having had international experience-----such as Henry Kissinger, Condoleeza Rice, Colin Powell, American Ambassadors to other countries.

Mr. Lucky, please excuse the wordiness----"just verifying your comment that Obama lacks real time experience in international relations"----"yep a couple of years in Hawaii smoking pot is not quite enough".
