I have consumed little of Mondavi's offerings for several years, but he was a giant and forever changed California winemaking as well as having a huge influence on all other regions.

I haven't used the QPR ratio here, but am familiar with it. Do you frequent Robin Garr's WWDWG, perchance? MP

Agree. South America presents great bargains.

The Primus 2005 blend of Carmenere, Cabernet, and Merlot is fabulous and, at $19.99, one cent under the board's maximum. A California wine of this quality would go for twice the price.
