ng.to - two of the neighbours here have connections up in that area, one in the machinery business, both have good judgment imho, they figure it won't be such a long wait before Galore goes ahead ... part of it is re-think of plan, but part political too, they expect a bit of concession by the province to chip in for infrastructure, which is only fair as it all ends up in the hands of crown provincial ultimately, and benefits the whole region for many years ahead ... WAC's Socreds would have had roads and power into there by now, and be about to receive an ongoing stream of tax and royalty cheques ... anyway the neighbour not in machinery and who plays stocks, seems to talk about NovaGold more than any other, i suspect it is one of his larger positions, probably largest How about them New Gold wts, heh heh ... people have been slow to figure out just what nine years time value means on a Lassonde Schulich Telfer play ... the 1k sold at 2.49 first thing yesterday was mine, forgot i left the damn order in

But this chart shows that for several months it has traded on pace with my favourite mining prospect, TRX, with TRX outperforming over time. I like to think that the chart says this could continue... but as the chart changes, so will my opinion, or it should ! To use this pair as a hedge, shorting one to provide funds to buy the other, I think one would have a pretty "safe" position. Guessing correctly which one will outperform should provide a modest profit... Guessing wrong a modest loss. We'll see. Just for fun, I set up such a hedge in the "portfolio" thread as "pairs2".
