I don't think any president can swiftly change the direction of the dollar which is having a huge impact in the US on oil and commodity prices.

Oil and most commodities have gone substantially higher against all currencies. Oil priced in Euros has more than tripled in the same time frame you cited. I am certainly displeased with how the
administration (and congress and the Fed) has managed government spending, money creation, interest, etc, but the reality is we are in a long term commodity bull market with the distinct possibility that oil production has peaked.
