Senator Byrd's endorsement comes after the Primary and is in line with his respect for procedure and protocol. Byrd stood aside as Hillary trounced Obama.

I find it so fascinating that this endorsement is being praised when West Virginians were being called every name in the book before, during, and after the Democrat election by Obama's supporters and heightened by the media.

Byrd's influence in West Virginia has been waning for the past 10 or so years. Byrd's endorsement is not likely to have much influence in the General Election for West Virginians.

Nationally, the Obama campaign will make some PR hay of his endorsement---that's about it. jmho---mj
