If the Democrats do get the White House and Congress next year, they better live up to that opportunity and not blow it in the usual scummy Washington power-trip ways.

You'd think each side would learn as they watch the other side flame out, but I am skeptical. The Republicans worked for a generation to get power again and punted their chance for a long-term majority.

We could easily the same thing in redux from the Dems. I hope not.
